Luz de Tavira Country Side

This friendly and very tranquil home is located in a vast private property, surrounded by pine and cypress trees. In front of your patio you will find an extensive orange grove, which protects your privacy and guarantees your fresh morning orange juice.

The property lies at about 2 km from the friendly Vila of Luz de Tavira, and is a only very short drive away from several of the most marvellous beaches of the Algarve.

The closest beaches are the Barril Beach on beautiful stretched Tavira Island, Fuzeta or Cabanas Island.

But maybe you just want to hang out and relax at the pool or in the shady patio and lush gardens of the place.

Some suggestions for tours and visits

Visit the picturesque Fishermen’s Town of Santa Luzia, the Capital of the Octopus, followed by lunch or dinner in one of the numerous restaurants at the boulevard along the Ria Formosa Estuary. Here you can taste the local gastronomic speciality, the octopus, prepared in a great variety, or the freshest Algarvian fish and seafood.

A must go: the stunningly beautiful and bright Tavira with it’s ancient buildings, stretching along the River Gilao. This enchanting city has adopted the concept of the ‘Slow City’ but is still a lively yet relaxed haven for a time very well spend.

Go and see Cacela with its gorgeous views over the estuary. As in all this region of the Algarve you will be able to find very good restaurants there after having discovered this beautiful small town.

Find the little hideout Fábrica. There is a restaurant at the waterfront where you can have delicious oysters a la Algarve. Ask a fisherman to bring you to the Beach of Cabanas Island just in front of the restaurant.

The friendly Cities of Olhão and Faro are as well only a short drive away.

Explore the Sierra with its overwhelming beauty of nature and its small and tranquil villages.

The region around Moncarapacho and Estói at the feet of the ‘Mount Figo’, few kilometers into the land, is perfect if you love nature and tranquillity. There are still many untouched places to discover. If you have the courage, drive up to the top of ‘Cerro de S. Miguel’, 411m, and be overwhelmed by the fantastic views over the Algarve and its seas.

Horse back riding, lessons and tours at the place. Possibility to participate in ‘Romarias’ on Horseback.
